2023 SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK
Our Community Pool will open Monday, May 1, 2023, and is set to close on Saturday, September 30, 2023. Press here for a copy of the complete 2023 Pool Season Calendar.
During May and June, we will share the pool with the Waves! We will keep the gates unlocked during all swim team hours so that they will not need to prop the gates open. We will reflect this in the electronic database.
For most of the season, we offer two Pool Programs:
Swim At Your Own Risk (SAYOR), where there are no Lifeguards present. To enjoy this program, the Resident needs:
∙ To read and understand the “Unguarded Pool Rules and Release” document
∙ To sign and return an “Acknowledgment and Acceptance of SAYOR” page. You can return an electronic copy to access.cpbod@gmail.com, managed by Frank Perkowski, or deposit the paper copy in the mailbox of Monica Freeland at 1171 Clarendon Dr.;
∙ To accept a Brivo App on the smartphone of all authorized guests.
∙ For those of you who signed the waiver last year and have not changed your email address or phone number, you will be able to use your existing Brivo APP to access the pool as you did last year during published SAYOR hours. You still need to read the document “Unguarded Pool Rules and Release” and to sign and return the one-page “Acknowledgment and Acceptance of SAYOR”;
∙ For those of you who do not have the APP on your phone or who have a new email address or phone number, you will receive an email requesting you to install the APP on your phone and sign up with your email address and password within three days of receiving an email from Brivo. This will allow you to use the APP once the pool opens;
∙ For those of you who do not return a signed waiver, you will not be able to access the pool during published SAYOR hours.
Lifeguards Coverage, where Lifeguards are present.
Please follow the directives that Lifeguards may issue from time to time.
In addition, we are pleased to let you know that the HOA Board of Directors has made the following decisions:
∙ Appointed Don Levine to be the 2023 Pool Manager Officer; and
∙ Appointed Sears Pool Management as our new Pool contractor. Our previous contractor, Nautix, served us well for ten years. Unfortunately, in the last two years, the pandemic affected their ability to hire the necessary trained personnel to service the Pool and to provide the required number of lifeguards. This process of selecting a new contractor was conducted by a committee composed of Jennie Yanda, Andrew Folkner, and myself. My thanks and appreciation to Jennie and Andrew.
Please, do not hesitate to contact me with any comments.
Best,
Armando Yanes
